The Perfect Kids' Camera: What Really Matters?
At Trafello, we tested many different kids' cameras. Not because we believe children need the latest high-tech gadgets — quite the opposite. For us, it's all about how children use a camera.
It's about the experience, not the technology.
What Do Kids Truly Value in a Camera?
For a child, a camera is pure magic. Just like it once was for us, when our grandfather walked around every family birthday with his trusty camera. (Yes, later it turned into a video camera... but the magic remained.)
Children experience that same wonder today:
- The joy of capturing their world.
- The pride of telling their own story through photos.
And just like adults, kids love looking back at their photos. That’s why we believe two things are absolutely essential:
- Photos should be easy to print.
- Children should be able to take as many photos as they want.
Because nothing kills the magic faster than a disposable camera that runs out just when the adventure gets exciting.
Why Taking Lots of Photos Matters
Kids see magic everywhere:
- A special rock.
- A bird soaring above.
- A funny-looking tree.
They aren't picky or cautious like adults with an expensive camera. (And honestly, we weren't back then either.)
That's why freedom is so important:
- No limits.
- No stress about “saving” photos.
- Just pure creativity and discovery.
A Camera as a Gateway to Exploration
At Trafello, we believe a children's camera is much more than a device — it’s an invitation to explore the world.
With simple challenges like “Take a picture of something blue!”, children learn to:
- Look differently at their surroundings.
- Become more creative, observant, and independent.
A kids' camera should open their eyes to the wonders around them, every single day.
Simplicity and Safety Come First
An ideal kids' camera should be:
- Easy to use — with big buttons and simple menus.
- Offline — no internet access for a safer experience.
- Fun for travel — with mini-games like Snake to make car rides more fun.
It should be their first step into the digital world — simple, playful, and safe.
Why Waterproof? Not a Priority for Us
You might wonder: shouldn't a kids' camera be waterproof?
Our answer: not necessarily. And here’s why:
- Waterproof devices often aren't as tough as they seem.
- One hard drop can destroy the waterproof seal.
(We speak from experience — after my brand-new "waterproof" phone didn't survive its first fall.)
Instead, we focused on what really matters:
- Durability.
- High photo capacity.
- Simple, joyful experiences.
That's Why We Created the Trafello Explorer Cam
After all our research and testing, we proudly designed the Trafello Explorer Cam, built for young adventurers:
- 32 GB memory — room for over 10,000 photos
- Easy photo printing
- Built-in mini-game (Snake!)
- Video recording feature
- Super sturdy, lightweight design
- No internet access — safe and focused for kids
Everything a child needs to capture their adventures, and nothing they don't.
